Synergy Benefits the Tuxedo Industry:
What happens when you combine 3 people with these talents
...
1) a national tuxedo wholesaler who has over 30 years experience
in our tuxedo industry
2) a master tailor who understands the importance of quality,
fabric, construction, and design
3) an old guy with a lot of money who not only has a factory overseas,
but who is also willing to commit a few million dollars in helping
develop a new tuxedo manufacturing company. For reference, we
like to call him "the old rich guy". (It's ok, he laughs
at us when we call him that.)
.... ??? ... ??? ... ???
Attention: Single store retail store owners, multi-store/chain/franchise
owners, and tuxedo wholesalers ...
We proudly present you with "International Formalwear &
Accessories" !!! Feel free to refer to us as the new and
improved "IFA".
Background History:
Bell Tuxedo opened its doors back in 1977. It was a single-store
operation owned by Anthony and Julia Cardi. For those of you who
have been in the industry this long, you may remember the term
"glory days of our industry" synonymous with the late
70's and 80's. A store owner had a much easier time making a large
profit during these time periods compared to today's environment
. Today, we understand that it takes a lot more effort to sustain
a profitable store. "International Formalwear & Accessories"
is going to assist today's store owners maximize their profits
by providing quality products at "true wholesale prices"!!!
We'll talk about that again a little later ...
Since Bell Tuxedo was established, Anthony and Julia's second
son ... Alfred Cardi (friends and colleagues usually just call
him "Al") ... was always working hard at the store.
Like many of today's hard-working store owners, Al was doing everything
from being a salesman on the floor, pulling tuxedos in the back,
hemming pants, putting together marketing programs, etc.
After
already spending 20 years in the industry, Al decided to open
a tuxedo wholesale business in 1997 -- Bell Tuxedo Wholesale (BTW).
Amost 10 years later, BTW is now considered one of the largest
tuxedo wholesale companies in the country as it now services over
1200 stores in all 50 states.
In December 2005, our "old rich guy" had insisted that
BTW expand it's current 20,000+ square foot state-of-the-art warehouse
to include a second floor addition for IFA's preparation into
the manufacturing division in 2006. Vest bins, shoe shelves, new
computers, custom inventory software, bars for new tuxedo coats
and pants (oops, did I just let the cat-out-of-the-bag and hinted
that we are in the process of manufacturing tuxedos now? I don't
want to get you too excited; lets just concentrate on accessories
for now). The "old rich guy" is even flipping the bill
for our database-driven website. Programmers are custom-coding
all kinds of crazy features into the backend system. Real-time
inventory, "work in process" updates, automated tracking
information for retailers, billing/invoice lookup utilities for
retailers, etc.
IFA believes that 2006 will be an exciting year in the formal
wear industry !!!
Our Philosophy:
Blah, blah, blah ... I could write a "professional letter"
that tells you how we want to do this ... or do that. Haven't
you heard that BS before? Here it is in a nutshell:
STORE OWNERS NEED TO MAKE MONEY !!!
You need to buy products at "true wholesale prices".
True wholesale prices does not mean that you go through your "current
manufacturers/distributors" ... who goes through a "jobber"
... and then they sell the product to you.
"True wholesale prices" means that you find a company
like IFA who has "an old rich guy" who actually has
a manufacturing factory overseas !!! That's as direct as you can
go. Are you getting a little excited? I hope so.
A STORE OWNER'S NEW MATHEMATICAL EQUATION
Here is an overview of your current "profit calculator".
You buy goods at inflated prices from your current suppliers;
you have to rent the same items multiple times before
you pay for your COGS ("cost of goods sold"). You get
behind in your bills.
Here is an overview of your new "profit calculator".
You buy goods at "true wholesale prices" from IFA; after
renting the items the first time, you have recouped your investment.
You can then start putting a little something in your pockets
from all your future rentals ... :)
